What makes us different?
When looking for a company to design your website there are countless companies that will offer to give you a fully functional site within days for a great price. They do this by using templates - a standard set of pre-designed pages into which they feed your custom text and graphics to produce a 'unique' site for you. This may seem great at first - you'll have a good looking site that provides all the information your customers need. But then you need to change something on your front page - at worst you'll have to get hold of the company that put your site together and get them to change something extremely simple which they may take a long time to do, and will charge you for. At best you will have been given an Administration control panel with which you can alter your own text. These more often than not require you to change a text file - with no formatting - which is then reflected in the text on your site. Unfortunately you will have no control of the look of you text - if you want to change this then you will be charged again for a redesign.

No Templates
When you tell us the content you need for your website we do not just enter it in to a black box and automatically generate your site. Each site is treated individually and you have full input into the way your site looks. While our budget sites do make use of a standard look and feel, such as the pages you are looking at now, you will have full control over design details such as all colours, graphic placement etc

Rich Text Editing
All the content on websites designed by us can be edited instantly by you, the owner of the site. Not only this but we make use of a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editor on all our pages. What this means is that you edit the content as you would do in any word processor such as Microsoft Word so that you have full control over both the content and the design - within your web browser! No Hidden Costs
Site design is just one part of getting your business on the internet. You also have to register your domain name (e.g. www.ocular-design.co.uk) and have someone host your site (in other words you have to rent some space on the internet where your site will effectively live). We can of course provide all these services should you need them or we can upload your new site to your existing server for you.

All our sites comply with current web standards. This ensures that the site will look exactly the same on whatever browser your clients use to view the page. This gives your site added professionalism as well as peace of mind that your clients are seeing the site as you intended, independent of the computer setup they are using.
